
The word khaki, literally know as dust in the language “Urdu”. Normally we mean khaki as color or dust color. Later chinos and Khaki are synonymous for a casual pant made of cotton. Generally chinos are name of a fabric. Earlier uniform of the British troops are Bright white pajama. In 1848, Harry Burnett Lumsden, commander of an English troop in India. He decided that the Khaki pants were more suitable in battle than the white pants, and red tunic. With approval of the management he changed the uniform of army soldiers.
